 The Weber Heat Seal Pinch Bottom Bag Making Machine produces
high quality sift-proof and leak-proof bags in a broad range of sizes.
One ply or two ply bags can be formed with a maximum combined
basis weight up to 75 pounds (120-GSM). Side seam or center seam
formation is available.
The machine consists of three
modules; the tubing section, the turning unit and the bottoming unit.
Bag formation begins as the web enters the tubing module. The web is
formed into either a flat or gusseted tube and cut to length.
The tube is then turned 90
degrees using H.G. Weber's patented turning unit, which transfers the
tubes into the bottoming unit in one continuous straight-line
operation. The turning unit eliminates the need for an L-shaped
machine line or the extra handling required with a two step tubing and
bottoming operation.
The bottoming unit offers
several types of bottom sealing, including a flat patterned seal, a
single foldover heat sealed and glued bottom seal. Heat sealing is
accomplished by applying heat, which is automatically proportioned with the machine
speed. This heat activates the pre-applied adhesive and pressure is
applied to set the bottom seal.
